About the project

The client was seeking a cost-effective solution to validate an idea that could simplify bunkering planning for vessel operators. The required software solution aims to connect fuel buyers with suppliers available along the planned route.

The client had a preference for integration partners and was looking for quick solution to collect first feedback quickly.

Solution

Together with the client, our team developed a product validation plan for a conference scheduled in two weeks. We established two milestones, focusing primarily on the buyer flow, recognizing them as the predominant audience at the upcoming event. Our objective was to generate user traction by demonstrating a solution that simplifies bunkering planning and cost calculation.

The designed user journey encompassed inputs for vessel and route details, indicative pricing across various ports, and an options calculator enabling buyers to determine the optimal bunkering cost. Consequently, the platform's MVP was favorably received by the audience. As a subsequent step, we plan to conduct the validation of the supplier's journey.
